Titans Beat Loyola Marymount in Men’s Soccer

Duncan Oughton and Sheldon Thomas had second half goals as host Cal State Fullerton defeated Loyola Marymount, 3-1, in a nonconference men’s soccer game Thursday.
The victory stopped the Titans’ four-game losing streak.
Loyola Marymount’s Adam Stockman scored with 10 minutes left in the first half to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
Oughton, a transfer from New Zealand who missed the first month of the season with a leg injury, tied the score on a header eight minutes later.
Thomas scored with seven minutes left to play to give Fullerton (5-5) a 2-1 lead. Oughton scored again two minutes later.
In Big West Conference women’s volleyball:
Long Beach State 3, Boise State 0--Benishe Dillard had 11 kills and Veronica Walls had eight to lead Long Beach State to a 15-6, 15-8, 15-3 victory. Former Newport Harbor High standout Misty May had 37 assists for the 49ers, who remain undefeated in conference play at 4-0.
In nonconference women’s volleyball:
Azusa Pacific 3, Pacific Christian 0--Kelly Dryden and Jennifer French each had 10 kills in a 15-8, 15-12, 16-14 victory. Tiffany Turner had 31 assists for Azusa Pacific (6-7).
Erica Love had nine kills and 24 assists for Pacific Christian (2-17).
Christian Heritage 3, Southern California College 1--Heather McGovran and Sarah Cisnersos each had 11 kills to lead Christian Heritage to a 13-15, 15-6, 15-3, 15-2 victory.
