Cox to Give Lecture at Nixon Library
An ongoing lecture series at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace about the 1998 election season will feature an appearance today by Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach).
The library’s ’98 California Issues Forum includes topics expected to be hot in the congressional, senatorial, gubernatorial and statewide races. Cox, an advisor to House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.), also plans to give his report card on the 105th Congress.
Gov. Pete Wilson kicked off the forum Sept. 19. A much-anticipated event in the series is a rare joint appearance Oct. 14 by Michael Schroeder and Art Torres, chairmen of the state Republican and Democratic parties respectively.
Tickets are $8 for Cox’s 11 a.m. lecture. Information: (714) 993-5075.
