VENTURA — Police are looking for a young male who stabbed a youth Friday, sending him to the hospital with a collapsed lung.
“He’s going to live,” said Lt. David Inglis.
Details of the incident were sketchy. Inglis said the unidentified victim was stabbed once in the chest near the intersection of Warner Street and Ventura Avenue about 7:35 p.m.
The victim was taken to Ventura County Medical Center.
Police received little information from witnesses. Inglis said the suspect is a tall Latino male, possibly in his early 20s.
“Nobody’s talking,” Inglis said. “Nobody saw nothing. Nobody’s in custody.”
The victim, whose name was not released, recently moved to the area from Los Angeles, according to Inglis.
