58-Hour Week Approved for New City Library

The new city library will be open 58 hours per week under an operating schedule approved Monday by the City Council.
The 27,650-square-foot library, at La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway, will open Oct. 25. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The council also decided not to restrict access to the Internet from library computers. However, anyone younger than 18 must have signed parental permission to use the Internet at the library.
