The second annual CLU Invitational gets underway this morning at Cal Lutheran. The women’s five-kilometer race is scheduled for 9 a.m., with the men’s eight-kilometer competition set for approximately 9:45 a.m.

Semi-pro football: At 7 p.m., Vancouver vs. Simi Valley Swarm at Simi Valley High.

College cross-country: At 9:15 a.m., Pepperdine vs. Loyola Marymount, San Diego and USC at Stotsenberg Track, Malibu.

Men’s soccer: At 1 p.m., Cal Lutheran at Occidental; at 2 p.m., Christian Heritage at The Master’s.

Women’s soccer: At 11 a.m., Cal Lutheran at Occidental; at 4 p.m., Southern California College at The Master’s.

Women’s volleyball: At 11 a.m., Moorpark, Pierce, Ventura in College of the Sequoias tournament; at 7 p.m., USF at Pepperdine; at 7:30 p.m., La Sierra at The Master’s, Cal Lutheran at Pomona-Pitzer.

Men’s water polo: At noon, Cal at Pepperdine.

Women’s water polo: At noon, Valley in Citrus tournament at Citrus College.

College wrestling: All day, Moorpark in Skyline tournament.

High school cross-country: At 9 a.m., Providence in Arroyo Grande Invitational; at 1 p.m., Paraclete in High-Desert League Invitational at Desert, Hart, Palmdale in Clovis Invitational in Fresno; at 2 p.m., Highland at Diamond Bar, Littlerock, Quartz Hill, Thousand Oaks in Fountain Valley Invitational at Central Park, Huntington Beach.

Girls’ volleyball: At 11 a.m., Avalon at Providence.

Boys’ water polo: At 11 a.m., Royal at Marina; at 1 p.m., Harvard-Westlake in Southern California Invitational in Irvine.
