Planners Might Begin Bonita Village Annexation
- Share via
The Planning Commission tonight may approve a General Plan change that would pave the way for the city to annex an Irvine development south of the San Joaquin Hills Corridor and east of MacArthur Boulevard.
If the commission approves the change, the City Council will consider annexing Bonita Village at its Monday meeting. The annexation could be approved by the Irvine City Council at its Tuesday meeting.
A quick decision is crucial because the Irvine Co. has begun construction on the homes and apartments that will constitute Bonita Village.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 4845 Newport Blvd. Information: (714) 644-3309.
