Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc.: The San Clemente real estate investment trust reported that third-quarter net income rose to $5.9 million, or 29 cents a share, from $2 million, or 23 cents a share, for the 1996 third quarter. Revenue increased to $12.2 million from $4.3 million. For the nine months, the company posted net income of $13 million, or 72 cents a share, up from $4.2 million, or 59 cents a share, for the first three months last year. Revenue rose to $27.5 million from $10.4 million.
