With less than a week until the Nov. 4 election, the Midtown Community Council will hold a candidates’ forum so the 10 candidates can make a pitch to voters.
The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Grace Baptist Church, 65 MacMillan Ave.
The gathering will be one of the last chances for Ventura residents to hear how the candidates will address midtown and citywide issues.
Candidates are expected to discuss issues ranging from how to give midtown a stronger voice at City Hall to what will happen to the vacant Washington School.
The Midtown Community Council represents the interests of residents and businesses in the area of Ventura bounded by Crimea Street and Sanjon Road to the west, the Ventura Freeway to the south, the hillside to the north, and Mills Road to the east.
For more information about the council, call its information line at 662-2514.
