Bench Dedication for Late Tourism Official

The Ventura Beach Lions Club today will dedicate a bench on the Promenade to Russ Smith, former director of the Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau.
The dedication will take place at 4 p.m. along the Promenade in front of the Holiday Inn.
The club is putting in the bench to honor Smith posthumously for his dedication to developing local tourism. Smith passed away in April 1994.
