Six-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Michael Dean Perry is being benched by the Denver Broncos, a move that might signal the end of his 10-year NFL career. Third-year pro Maa Tanuvasa will replace Perry. . . . Jacksonville quarterback Mark Brunell, who dislocated the middle knuckle on his throwing hand against the Pittsburgh Steelers, wore a splint again Wednesday and was kept out of passing drills. . . . Chris Warren, the No. 2 rusher in Seattle Seahawk history, will be the starting running back Sunday against Denver. Warren, 29, has been on the Seahawks’ bench at the start of the game the past two weeks after sitting out a game because of a pulled hamstring. The Seahawks waived quarterback Gino Torretta, the former Heisman Trophy winner, and signed safety Eric Stokes from their practice squad.
