Spotlight: Gensia Sicor Will Move Headquarters to Irvine

Gensia Sicor Inc. said it will move its headquarters from San Diego to Irvine to be near its expanding anti-cancer drug development operations and will take a charge of $1.5 million to $2.5 million for costs of the move in the third quarter. Gensia, which makes intravenous drugs, already has manufacturing, laboratory and warehouse facilities in Irvine and has invested in “significant upgrades” there. The company has 160 employees, about a fifth of whom will be relocated.
