Preregistration Open for Surf Contest

Local surfers may preregister through Sept. 17 for the fifth annual Pro-Am Surf Contest in Newport Beach. The competition runs Sept. 19 through Sept. 21 at 54th Street in Newport Beach.
Newport Beach residents can preregister for the amateur division for $25 and for the pro-am division for $50. An additional $5 will be charged for surfers from outside Newport Beach. If space is available, participants may register the day of the event. Fees on the day of the event will be $35 for the amateur division and $60 for the pro-am division.
Competitors must register at the Newport Beach Community Services Department, 3300 Newport Blvd.
