‘New Year’s Day’
This 1989 release revealed a new maturity and detachment in filmmaker Henry Jaglom. Jaglom casts himself as Drew, who discovers that the East 68th Street apartment he has leased has not yet been vacated. Lucy (Maggie Jakobson, right), Annie (the late Gwen Welles, center) and Winona (Melanie Winter, left) invite him to stay when he despairs of locating a hotel room. (Bravo early Monday at 1:30 a.m., 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.).
