The line’s first product, Net.Commerce START, is a small-business version of an electronic commerce system that Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM developed for major clients such as catalog pioneer L.L. Bean. The package is priced less than $5,000 and includes a Store Creation Wizard that will guide the technically unsophisticated through the process of setting up an electronic catalog complete with electronic payment systems and forms to arrange shipments.
