2 Men Die in Separate Shootings

Two men were shot and killed Sunday in separate incidents in Sun Valley and Lancaster.
Alberto Zertuche, 20, was shot once in the upper body during what police said was a drive-by shooting. His body was found lying in the 8800 block of Morehart Street by neighbors, who called police at 6:35 a.m. Sunday.
Los Angeles Police Det. John Coffey said in a press release that the killing was probably gang-related.
In Lancaster, sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire and discovered a man’s body inside a home in the 44000 block of 17th Street East about 2 p.m.
The man, whose name was not released Sunday night, was shot once in the upper body, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
