BUENA PARK — A man throwing Molotov cocktails at pursuing police cars was captured after a 17-minute, low-speed chase through Buena Park and Cypress on Tuesday night, police said.
About 9 p.m. Victor Valerio, 37, of Cypress was shouting in the street in the 10000 block of Miranda Avenue in Buena Park, police said. He fled when police arrived, and they chased him through Cypress to Ball Road and Moody Street, where he finally pulled over his Chevrolet Blazer and was captured, Buena Park Police Lt. James Schoals said.
He was expected to be booked on suspicion of violating his parole and assault with a deadly weapon, Schoals said. The cocktails did no damage, he said.
