Wirtz, Treat Lead Fullerton to Victory

Andy Wirtz and Brian Treat scored goals in the second half to give Fullerton the lead in a 3-2 victory over El Camino Tuesday in a nonconference men’s soccer game.

Milton Guardron scored first for Fullerton (1-2), which made it 1-1 at the end of the first half at El Camino College. El Camino is 0-2.

In another nonconference men’s soccer game:

Irvine Valley 3, Moorpark 3--Jorge Rodriguez of Moorpark scored in the last minute to tie the score. Felix Hernandez had two goals and David Sabet added the third for Irvine Valley (4-2-1).

In nonconference women’s soccer:

Fullerton 6, El Camino 3--Jenny Cunningham’s hat trick in the second half put Fullerton ahead for the victory. Michelle Brauer had nine saves for Fullerton (2-0).

In nonconference men’s water polo:

Fullerton 14, Santa Ana 12--John Naples scored three goals in the fourth quarter for Fullerton (3-2). Naples finished with six goals. Santa Ana drops to 2-3.

In nonconference women’s water polo:

Fullerton 20, Santa Ana 7--Jill Schmidt and Katherine Guidi combined for nine points to lead Fullerton (3-2).
