Barring an asteroid destroying the earth, Aerosmith is planning to start writing songs for its first new studio album in the wake of its huge hit with “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” from “Armageddon.” The album is tentatively due mid-2000. . . .
With Lilith Fair about to conclude its final year and doubt shrouding returns for Lollapalooza, H.O.R.D.E. and the Furthur Festival next year, the organizers of the Warped tour have already started booking dates for 2000. The just-completed ’99 edition, with a varied lineup including Eminem, Blink-182, Black Eyed Peas and Mexican rock band Molotov, was reportedly the most successful at the box office of Warped’s five years.
