Foote, Cone & Belding Adds McElroy to Fold

Foote, Cone & Belding Worldwide said Monday it has purchased McElroy Communications Inc., a Newport Beach advertising agency that specializes in youth-oriented marketing. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Becoming part of FCB gives McElroy the “support of a large, global network and in turn brings FCB our very focused set of resources,” founder Thom McElroy said in a statement.
McElroy, 37, will remain president and chief creative officer of the new McElroy FCB. Tim Garrett, 33, will keep his title as senior vice president.
Founded in 1989, McElroy’s clients include Santa Fe-based shoemaker Vans Inc. and Anaheim-based retailer Pacific Sunwear of California. (Leslie Earnest)
