Reward Offered in Death From 4th of July Gunplay

LOS ANGELES — The City Council is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever killed a 9-year-old boy by firing a gun into the air on the Fouth of July.
Brian Perez was struck in the head by the falling bullet while playing with other children at a family cookout in South Los Angeles. The boy died the next day at the County-USC Medical Center.
