Doggone Irritated

Regarding Edward Wright’s article extolling the virtues of dogs on vacations (“Happy Tails to You,” Weekend Escape, Aug. 1):
However much Wright might wish to ascribe human thoughts and feelings to his dog, Lobo, our species is very different. It’s rare that a hotel has to deal with a human guest urinating in a room’s corners. Additionally, it gives me little comfort that Wright “liberally” sprays flea killer throughout a room I might later occupy. Guests stay in Mammoth Lakes to breathe the pine-scented air, not a flea-killing nerve agent.
