Premier Laser Narrows Its Losses

Premier Laser Systems Inc. reported Monday that it narrowed its losses in the first fiscal quarter on higher sales.
Irvine-based Premier, which makes lasers and other products for the dentistry and surgical markets, said it lost $1.9 million, or 13 cents a share, for the fiscal quarter ended June 30, compared with a net loss of $4.7 million, or 32 cents a share, for the corresponding period last year. Sales grew 9% to $3.7 million.
