Following the city staff’s recommendation, the City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to allow the city’s Parks and Community Services Department to purchase playground equipment for Carl Brenner Park.
At its July 27 meeting, the council rejected all bids on the project because they were higher than anticipated by the city. The lowest came in at $61,116. Now, the city will save $10,838 by purchasing the Miracle Play equipment itself and then having a certified Miracle Play installer do the rest.
