Authorities identified a Woodland Hills woman who died in a two-car accident Friday that also injured five people.
Gitty Houshiar, 44, died in a head-on collision at Oxnard Street and Kelvin Avenue about 5:45 p.m., said Officer Connie Silber of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division.
Houshiar was a passenger in a Honda Accord driven by her husband, Bijan Houshiar, 47, who was listed in stable condition at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Woodland Hills, said hospital spokeswoman Lisa Kort.
The Honda was struck by a Mitsubishi Conquest driven by Valentin Krakhmalov Jr., 16, of Tarzana, Silber said. Krakhmalov was driving in the wrong direction when he struck Houshiar’s car, Silber said.
He was transported to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, which declined to release information Saturday about his condition.
Also in the Mitsubishi were David Wood, 30, of Tarzana; Shawn Pollack, 18, also of Tarzana and Scott Worthington, Silber said.
Wood and Pollack were treated and released from Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on Friday night, Kort said.
Worthington was listed in critical condition at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills on Saturday, a nursing supervisor said.
