Jesse Servin
SCHOOL: Reseda
SPORT: Soccer
YEAR: Junior
SEASON AT A GLANCE: Servin, who had 11 goals last season and has six this season, has played mostly forward but moves back to midfielder when standout teammate Carlos Morales needs a breather. A sturdy 5 feet 10, Servin is a physical player with technical skills. “He takes care of the ball, that’s his first priority,” said Julio Castillo, a Reseda co-coach. “He’d rather have the ball at his feet than be running after it.”
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Servin scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Glendale in the championship game of the Hart tournament. He scored twice for the Regents (11-3) in a 3-0 semifinal victory over El Camino Real. “Every time we give him the ball, he does great things,” Castillo said.
