The City Council has delayed a decision until Feb. 15 on whether to reverse plans to increase parking validation fees from 25 cents to 50 cents in the downtown parking structure.
Mayor Peter Green would like more time for the downtown subcommittee time to review the proposed fee increase and make a recommendation. But some council members, eager to see the parking structure become financially self-sufficient, expressed frustration at the idea.
