The Cypress Nature Park will hold a flagpole ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, raising a flag on a pole designed and built by Eagle Scout Brett Escobar. The flagpole will be a permanent centerpiece at the park. A flag will be flown on days and times that the park is open, which will allow the community to know it’s open simply by driving or walking by the park. The park is at 4201 Ball Road and is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Information: (714) 229-6780.
