Interviews for the vacant principal position at McAuliffe Middle School will be conducted today, beginning at 8 a.m., by the Los Alamitos Unified School District. About eight candidates will be interviewed by two panels, which include community representatives, parents and teachers. The district hopes to recommend a final candidate by the July 26 school board meeting after a series of follow-up interviews. The position was vacated when Karen Lovelace resigned to become the district’s assistant superintendent of instruction services.
