*** Destiny’s Child, “The Writing’s on the Wall,” Columbia. This is the record En Vogue should be making. The songwriting is top-notch, the production values are inventive, and the teen quartet’s vocals are equal parts angelic and naughty. In particular, “Bug A Boo,” a sharp slap at a pesky suitor, and the slyly humorous hit single “Bills Bills Bills” and “Temptations” on this album (in stores Tuesday) make Destiny’s Child the best girl group to arrive in years.
