Firefighters quickly put out a brush fire Saturday afternoon that burned more than four acres near homes in Anaheim.
The fire was reported about 2:15 p.m. in the 400 block of South Paseo Estrella. Battalion Chief Bob Hirst of the Anaheim Fire Department said about 60 firefighters from Anaheim, Orange and Orange County fire departments controlled it by 3:30 p.m.
No one was hurt and no structures were damaged, Hirst said. The cause is under investigation, but authorities received reports of children running from the scene before the fire began, he said.
