After almost six months of appeals by resident Gary Meserve, the City Council Tuesday affirmed its Jan. 14 decision to allow P.J. Mead Books and Coffee on Cambridge Street to function as an art gallery in a residential area. Called the Unknown Art Gallery, the business will continue as an exhibition site and framing business and conduct jewelry workshops. According to the decision, it cannot sell food or drinks.
