Shorecliffs Middle School has a new principal, Donald Mahoney. Mahoney replaced Linda Ferrick this month. Ferrick resigned from the position because she wants to return to classroom instruction next year. Mahoney has served the Capistrano Unified School District since 1993, most recently as a principal at Foxborough and Wood Canyon elementary schools before being named a special education administrator for the 1998-99 school year.
