In Brief

** Enanitos Verdes, “Nectar,” Universal. The veteran rock en espan~ol outfit’s two previous studio albums were the kind of introspective affairs that make for great late-night listening. Here, the group emerges as a boyishly enthusiastic trio of middle-aged rockers, and the results are strangely uninspired. From the geeky cover art depicting a voluptuous Amazon to the murky production, “Nectar” suggests that the Enanitos (who will play the Greek Theatre on Aug. 15 as part of the Watcha Tour) excel only when exploring darker musical territory.
