The City Council modified the rate in municipal parking lots off Main Street, with only Shawn Boyd dissenting, at its meeting Tuesday. The hourly rate at the lots closest to the beach, known as the 100 block lots, will cost 50 cents during off-season from Sept. 16 to May 31 as opposed to the current flat rate of $1 year-round. The rate will be enforced from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
