The City Council voted to proceed with a feasibility study of a proposed contract with the Orange County Fire Authority at its meeting Tuesday.

The Fire Authority is seeking a 10-year contract with the city that entails a 3% increase in its fees for the first five years, and 4% for the subsequent five years.

The study will be conducted in cooperation with Garden Grove, Buena Park and Stanton. It will look at alternatives to the Fire Authority contract. The city’s share of the cost of the study will be $14,688.
