The Mission Viejo Nadadores will ask the city council tonight to fund new equipment the swim team needs before it can host the Junior National Diving Championships next year.
Upgrading the Marguerite Aquatic Center’s dive standards--the structures supporting the diving boards--is a condition of the national championships coming to Mission Viejo, according to staff reports. The total cost of the project is $65,000.
