Children ages 12 and younger are invited to participate in “Destination: Mission Viejo,” the public library’s free summer reading program. The program, sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, will take place June 22 to Aug. 14. Participants will receive a passport and special incentives each week they visit the library and set their own summer reading goals. Those who visit the library six or more times will be eligible for a grand prize drawing. The program also includes free special events and performances, which take place in the Kershaw Garden.
