The Saddleback Valley Unified School District board accepted several state school improvement grants at Tuesday’s meeting. Silverado Continuation High School in Mission Viejo received a $15,780 grant to create anti-smoking programs while Serrano Intermediate School in Lake Forest received $5,000 to improve security. Mission Viejo and Silverado high schools will get $300 per student to be used for computer training. The board also approved bids to add science rooms to the district’s four intermediate schools.
