Knott’s Berry Farm Planning Water Park
Knott’s Berry Farm plans to spend $25.5 million on a water park that will open next year, part of an attempt to convert the Buena Park theme park to a “destination resort” that would compete with the new Legoland in San Diego County and Disneyland’s expanding operations. The new attraction, called Soak City USA, will offer 21 rides and will be built on a parking lot site next to the amusement park’s Independence Hall replica. The water park will have a separate entrance and fee for admission.
