Writer T. Jefferson Parker will be speaking Monday at the Laguna Playhouse to raise funds for the theater. Parker, who writes his Southern California-based novels from his Laguna Beach home, will lecture on transforming novels into screenplays. General admission is $15, and $12 for students and children. It begins at 7 p.m. in the theater at 606 Laguna Canyon Road. Information: (949) 643-1490.
