Condition of 2 Cyclists Hit by Pickup Improves

Two cyclists injured when a 17-year-old boy drove a pickup onto a sidewalk Saturday morning remained hospitalized Sunday, but in improved condition. A West Hills man was killed in the accident.
The truck hit a group of five cyclists as it turned onto Lindero Canyon Road from Lakeview Canyon Road about 8:30 a.m. Mehran Delavari, 35, was killed as he changed a flat tire on a bicycle.
Brian Zrehigian, 40, of Sherman Oaks, remained in serious but stable condition at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, hospital spokeswoman Jane Misel said.
Zrehigian was in the intensive care unit with three spinal fractures and a bruised kidney, she said.
Zachary J. Winner, 33, also of Sherman Oaks, was in fair condition at UCLA Medical Center, according to a nurse supervisor. He suffered fractures to his pelvis, clavicle and ribs, said his wife, Serena Winner, 34.
George Riccirdi, 43, of Canoga Park, was treated Saturday at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. Stanislav Ionov, 40, of Calabasas, was treated at the accident scene.
The teen driver, whose name was not released because he is a juvenile, was questioned by police and released.
