And so the killing goes on. Kosovo? No, Northern Ireland, where 120 schoolchildren were evacuated from a Catholic schoolyard while a deadly pipe bomb was defused. Saint Mary’s School in Ballymena has previously been subject to arson attacks.
The pipe bomb attack took place on the same day as the funeral of Elizabeth O’Neill, a Portadown grandmother who was killed by a similar device hurled into her living room. At least six bombings were carried out against Catholic homes over the June 6 weekend. In recent weeks, 10 Catholic men, women and children have died as a result of extreme Protestant loyalist bomb and gun attacks.
Why is Tony Blair’s British government standing silently by while innocent people are murdered in their homes?
