Re “The Key to Mormons’ Global Goals,” June 8: Having grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and after watching (with great admiration and love) my older brother and sister willingly answer the call to missionary service, I cannot ever recall having any church authority “hammer home” or “prod” me with the requirement of missionary service.
They are truly examples of what we are all capable of becoming--selfless servants to the less fortunate and those in need.
