VILLA PARK

The city and the Orange Unified School District are reviewing a plan that would restore and save from demolition two buildings on the Villa Park Elementary School campus.
The plan--conceived by a citizens preservation group--involves the city leasing the buildings from the Orange Unified School District for a nominal fee. The city would then in turn sublet the buildings to the Villa Park Elementary School Restoration Corp., which would oversee the restoration project.
The school board expects to vote on the issue later this month.
