“The Mythology of ‘Star Wars’ With George Lucas and Bill Moyers,” Friday at 9 p.m. on KCET and KVCR-TV, features the filmmaker examining story elements of his sci-fi movie series.
The Learning Channel’s “Edward & Sophie: A Royal Love Story,” Friday at 10 p.m., introduces the next British royal couple, Prince Edward and PR executive Sophie Rhys Jones. Live coverage of the wedding from Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel begins Saturday at 8 a.m.
“Rainbows and Witches and Ruby Red Slippers: The Wizard of Oz,” Saturday at 7 p.m. on KCOP-TV, features clips from the stage show currently at the Pantages and interviews with cast members such as Mickey Rooney.
The Discovery Channel looks at “Anaconda: Giant Snake of the Amazon,” Sunday at 8 p.m. Following at 9 is “Search for the Sea Serpent,” focusing on an expedition out to find a legendary monster in a lake in Norway.
The Learning Channel devotes three hours to “U.S. Marshal: The Real Story,” Sunday at 8 p.m.

The late Brandon Tartikoff co-created Showtime’s latest series, “Beggars and Choosers,” Saturday at 9 p.m. Brian Kerwin stars as the head of programming of a troubled network in this satire, which also stars Isabella Hofmann and Charlotte Ross.
The special Gay Pride edition of the newsmagazine series “In the Life,” Sunday at 11 p.m. on KCET, reports on the Stonewall Riots, the Project Yes outreach movement for gay youth and playwright Paula Vogel (“How I Learned to Drive”).
