Marion A. Ring; Ojai Schools Employee

Marion A. Ring, retired receptionist for the Ojai Unified School District, died Wednesday. She was 82.
Born in Los Angeles on March 30, 1917, she moved to Ventura County when she was 2 years old.
Ring worked as a receptionist-clerk for the Ojai school district and also as a dental assistant.
Ring was active in the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church parish in Ojai. She also enjoyed opera.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Margaret.
Ring is survived by her daughter Trish Ring of Ojai; sons John of Rancho Cucamonga and James of Ventura; sister Frances Fraser of Ojai; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her name to the St. Joseph’s Convalescent Center in Ojai.
A Mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s center. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura.
