McLachlan’s Album Debuts in Top 10
Singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, whose Lilith Fair tour comes to the Rose Bowl on July 17, is the only single artist to enter the Top 10 of the album chart this week. The competition for her new live album on both the Southern California and national chart came from soundtrack collections--the hip-hop-flavored “Wild Wild West” and the Phil Collins-drenched “Tarzan.” On the singles chart, Jennifer Lopez returned to No. 1 in Southern California after letting Pearl Jam slip in for a week.
