AGOURA — Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 54-year-old Agoura man on suspicion of sexually assaulting horses and felony cruelty to animals, authorities said Friday.
Daniel Bruce House, who was arrested Thursday, was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail at the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station in Calabasas pending a hearing Monday at Malibu Municipal Court, authorities said.
House, who is on probation in an earlier animal-neglect case, was initially arrested in connection with the horse attacks on June 6 but was released.
For three weeks, authorities said, Det. Chris Germann collected evidence allegedly linking House to attacks on at least three horses at ranches in the 4000 block of Cornell Road.
Authorities suspect the latest assault occurred late Wednesday at a 180-acre ranch.
House was arrested at 4:30 p.m. by Deputy Sal Becerra, who also made the first arrest, authorities said.
