St. Callistus to Break Ground

Bishop Tod D. Brown will preside at the groundbreaking for St. Callistus Catholic Church in Garden Grove at noon Sunday.
The new church building, which will be built on the corner of Lewis Street and Garden Grove Boulevard, will replace the present structure that was built when the parish was established in 1961. The parish had always planned to build a church on the corner so that it would be more visible. Construction is expected to take a year.
More than 2,400 registered families attend the church. A reception will follow the groundbreaking in the carport area. Information: (714) 971-2141.
