Delutz Gets No. 1 Seeding for Finals

Tommy Delutz Jr. won his final three games of match play Friday night to clinch the No. 1 seeding in the finals of the PBA Tour’s ACDelco All-Star Classic at Lakewood.
Delutz, who will make his second career television appearance as the top-seeded bowler, was 4-4 in the final round for an 18-12-2 overall record that guaranteed him a berth in today’s championship match. Delutz finished with a pinfall total of 8,329 and a 242 average.
Reigning PBA Player of the Year Walter Ray Williams Jr., who defeated reigning PBA Rookie of the Year Chris Barnes, 258-237 in the position round, was second at 8,237.
Defending champion Steve Hoskins won a one-game roll-off over Chris Barnes for third.
